ISSP’s courses offer access to current research and professionals working in the field.  The subject matter expert facilitates your online webinar and learning center experience.  You will be learning theory and practice with sustainability tools and methods. You are graded on a pass / audit and will receive feedback on your competencies from the instructor.

The ISSP courses are offered via a webinar platform paired with an interactive on-line classroom site here at the Learning Center.  The online classroom platform is available 24/7 and it’s where your readings, resources, recordings and assignments are accessed.

Each course is usually 4 weeks long. The courses currently follow this format: four, 90 minute weekly live webinars (recorded if you can’t make it) with interim readings, assignments and online text-forum discussions.

A SMS (sustainability management system) allows for systematic internal review, monitoring and corrective actions for continual improvement.

This workshop meets on-line on Wednesdays (October 8, 15, 22, 29) 2014

Management systems are the key to ongoing progress. A SMS (sustainability management system) allows for systematic internal review, monitoring and corrective actions for continual improvement.

ISSP's workshop will walk you through the creation of such a system to fit your needs.  You don't need a third-party certified ISO 14001 management system to benefit from the Plan-Do-Check-Act framework. You will learn what level of sophistication works best for you and what elements to add as your system matures. You will complete the workshop having learned practical methods to solidify and advance sustainability efforts by applying proven management system tools, practices and competencies.
